MicroAlert is an audible alarm that is 100 times more sensitive then the Microwave Leakage Detector. It is designed to pick up microwave and radiofrequency radiation from mobile phones, mobile phone towers, microwave ovens, surveillance bugs, and most radio frequency transmitters. Wear it like a pager to alert you to the presence of radiofrequency and microwave radiation. It is ideal for those who wear pacemakers, for those who live or work near mobile phone towers or those who are sensitive to TV, mobile phones and their towers. It may even be used to detect audio and video transmission from concealed bugs or the unauthorised use of mobile phones! The sound becomes more frequent as the microwave/radio waves increase with a solid tone occurring at the highest frequency (10 microWatts/cm2). Responds to frequencies from 500 kHz to 3 GHz, although response is not flat over this range. This is not a high precision meter. The beeping alarm threshold can be adjusted from no threshold (constant beeping regardless of radiation exposure), to a maximum of 10 microWatts/cm².
